This Susan H. Murphy '73 Ph.D. '94 Sorority and Fraternity Community Award recognizes Greek chapters that have done an outstanding job in incorporating new members into their organizations.

The most prestigious of awards, this honor recognizes chapters that have done an outstanding job in incorporating each of the ten Core Principles of the Cornell Greek Community into the activities and attitudes of the chapter.

This award recognizes outstanding Greek men and women for their continues leadership and service to their chapter and the Panhellenic, Interfraternity, or Multicultural Greek Letter Councils. The dedicated inividuals who receive this award help to further develop Greek Life and to ensure the betterment of the Greek system.

2011-2012: Amelia Bezerra (Spring 2009)
This award is given to a senior who has shown outstanding leadership and service to the MGLC community and whose contribution has strengthened commitment for the ideals of historically African-American, Asian-Interest, and Latino/a Greek-Letter organizations.
2012-2013: Yamira Maldonado (Fall 2012)
This award was created to honor new members who have displayed exemplary leadership qualities in their individual chapters, the Greek system, and the Cornell community. Involvment in the Junior Panhellenic Council, Junior Interfraternicy Council, or Multicultural Greek Letter Council, and devotion to the ideals of Greek Life are important characteristics for the recipients of this award.

This award is presented to an MGLC chapter that has dedicated itself to the betterment and continued success of the MGLC through programming and service to the community while representing the ideals of the council.

This award recognizes the chapter(s) that have worked diligently to address areas of improvement within their organization and have continuously improved over the course of the past academic year. The honor is awarded to the chapter(s) that have made substantial progress toward their desired goals.
